Alcoholics anonymous…is this how it works?

If you got really sick one night and went to the emergency room and they found out it was from alcohol and had to pump your stomach…Would it be required they sign you up for AA..or would they recommend it and be able to sign you up if they wanted? Could they also set you up with a sponsor if you are under 18 to drive you to meetings and is 6 months a usual time in which you have to attend these meetings?

alcoholism…ayone know how it works……?

i am an alcoholic,and have been trying to find ways to stop drinking…..i am 46 years old and have had multiple dui’s,public intox and disorderly conduct charges….iv’e been through the courts,jail time,rehabs (8) times.aa meetings 5 to 7 times per week….i was doing well for about 45 days when i ran across some money i thought i had lost over three years ago.(found it in a shirt i had not worn in over three years) the only thing i could think of was to go out and get drunk.wtf is wrong with me…..?

Can I claim my son as a dependent? He is in court ordered Rehab and works for room and board.?

He lives at the Salvation Army and only comes home on the weekends. He is 21 and is not in school. I provided quite of bit of his support in the form of lawyers, court costs, fines. phone calls. He also lived with me and did not work prior to his arrest. He was an inmate for four months and then transfered to rehab.
