Question by Touch Blueprints: When a restaurant records your ID in a paper log, when you order alcohol, is this shared with the police?
I mean, immediately, and with other states- assuming a judge in another state has ordered you to have “no consumption of alcohol”? I’m referring to the paper on which they take down your driver’s license #, and ask you to sign? Like a sports bar.
Just hypothetically (I’m in a criminal justice class, where I need to know, right now).

i dont know what bar your going to that documents everyone who walks in the door but no they cannot reveal personal information unless a court order is executed to investigate your personal records, including bar records i guess. never heard of a bar doing that though.

Is this how the financial meltdown happened?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on July 14, 2010
The financial crisis explained in simple terms so that even I understand it:
Heidi is the proprietor of a bar in Berlin. In order to increase sales, she decides to allow her loyal customers – most of whom are unemployed alcoholics to drink now but pay later. She keeps track of the drinks consumed on a ledger (thereby granting the customers loans).
Word gets around and as a result increasing numbers of customers flood Into Heidi’s bar.
Taking advantage of her customers’ freedom from immediate payment constraints, Heidi increases her prices for wine and beer, the most-consumed beverages. Her sales volume increases massively.
A young and dynamic customer service consultant at the local bank Recognizes these customer debts as valuable future assets and increases Heidi’s borrowing limit. He sees no reason for undue concern since he has the debts of the alcoholics as collateral.
At the bank’s corporate headquarters, expert bankers transform these customer assets into DRINKBONDS, ALKBONDS and PUKEBONDS. These securities are then traded on markets worldwide. No one really understands what these abbreviations mean and how the securities are guaranteed. Nevertheless, as their prices continuously climb, the securities become top-selling items.
One day, although the prices are still climbing, a risk manager (subsequently of course fired due his negativity) of the bank decides that slowly the time has come to demand payment of the debts incurred by the drinkers at Heidi’s bar.
However they cannot pay back the debts.
Heidi cannot fulfill her loan obligations and claims bankruptcy.
DRINKBOND and ALKBOND drop in price by 95 %. PUKEBOND performs better, stabilizing in price after dropping by 80 %.
The suppliers of Heidi’s bar, having granted her generous payment due dates and having invested in the securities are faced with a new situation. Her wine supplier claims bankruptcy, her beer supplier is taken over by a competitor. The bank is saved by the Government following dramatic round-the-clock consultations by leaders from the governing political parties.
The funds required for this purpose are obtained by a tax levied on the non-drinkers.
Finally an explanation I understand!
Alcoholics anonymous…is this how it works?

If you got really sick one night and went to the emergency room and they found out it was from alcohol and had to pump your stomach…Would it be required they sign you up for AA..or would they recommend it and be able to sign you up if they wanted? Could they also set you up with a sponsor if you are under 18 to drive you to meetings and is 6 months a usual time in which you have to attend these meetings?
Is This Horrible?

I was married to my kids father for 7 years. We split up last june because he had not had a job in 5 years and i was tired of dealing with his alcoholism. We shared custody of the kids for awhile but i was still paying all of his bills and taking care of his finatual needs. I am now engaged to a wonderful man and my kids love him and so do i. He has given me and my children everything. My ex-husband went to jail in another state recently and my kids started calling my new boyfriend daddy. I’m not stopping it but i’m not encourging it. I have decided that when my ex gets out of prison i’m going to try to get joint custody with me the primary caretaker and get child support. I Am not going to pay hs bills anymore either. Am i wrong for just completly cutting him off. I’m so confused about things
the reason he is in prison is for hitting me one night when i went to get the kids

Where should I get this tattoo?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on July 11, 2010
I’m 17 and I’ve been through a lot this past year, being in a mental hospital for 6 weeks for things in my past that are being acknowledged now. I’m going to get my second tattoo when I decide where I want it.
My first tattoo says ‘Alis Volat Propriis’ which means she flies with her own wings, going down my left arm
http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa276/renzy19/tattttoo.jpg
This tattoo means a lot to me because I cut this into the same arm at my lowest point, before a suicide attempt. To me that tattoo represents independence and how only I can make myself better.
My next tattoo I want to get is to represent my past and moving forward. I want Bansky’s Girl & balloon with a quote from thriving ivory’s “Hey Lady” “Don’t give up on me, don’t burn your heart out love

This tattoo, to me represents losing the ability to love at a weak point in your life, which I lost the ability to love myself, and you know how the saying goes “You can’t love someone else, until you love yourself.” I believe from may until two weeks ago was my weakest point. And the girl is reaching out for it, which for me symbolizes my treatment, and me trying to make myself better, and gaining control of my life again. It also symbolizes loss of innocence, which relates to me because I was raped when I was 12, grew up with an abusive stepfather with a neglectful mother, I was quite promiscuous growing up, and abused numerous drugs and alcohol. It also symbolizes growing up, which I never planned on doing, considering I made a suicide pact with myself when I was 12 that I would kill myself by 18. Now I’m ready to try. I think it symbolizes letting go too, I need to let go of my past in order to live a full and happy life. The quote also means a lot to me, I found Thriving Ivory a couple days before every thing started happening, and Hey Lady represent my teacher who’s been supporting me from Day 1 of all this.
So my question is where should I get this tattooed? I’m leaning towards my chest, I want it somewhere visible, any suggestions?
Here’s a picture of me if it helps
http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa276/renzy19/untitled.jpg
Thank you in advance (:
Thank you guys. (:
I can’t really do feet, although I like the idea, because of the quote :/ I want it somewhere so the world can basically see where I’ve been, and where I’m going.
Alis Volat Propriis is latin (:
How does this sounds?

I am doing this for a speech project,I just want to know what other people think about it. The format is kinda wired I know with the, Today I have gone over, and now im going to talk to you about. But are teacher gave us a format so there is nothing I can do to change that. Also let me know if a piece of Information is way off, or there is way to improve it. This is not a major grade so I just went with the info I already knew from showing, and looked up a few key points to make sure the info was some what correct.
Many people will do just about anything to win, and if drugs are there answer, there do it. Today I’m going to talk to you about the use of illegal drugs in horses. I’m going to go over the history, types of drugs ,uses and the consequences.
Drugs have been used in horses to enhance performance since 1961. The first drug test was developed in 1976, after many cases of drug abuse in the show ring .Today AQHA alone spends over 1 million dollars on drug test yearly. The test are often given to the winning horses who are most likely to test positive. Test are also given randomly to try to denture people to use drugs. Today almost all large breeder associations use some form of drug testing.
Now I’m going to talk to you about the types of drugs and their effect on the horses. Opiate is used in race horses to pump up the adrenalin and make them go faster. Steroids are used in halter horses to increase muscle mass quickly. Pain killers are used in lame horses in order to continue showing when injured . Tranquilizers are used in western pleasure horses to make them go slower. They are also used in young horses who are starting training, this makes the trainers job easier. Alcohol is ejected into the base of a horses tail to numb it, this is often known as blocking.. When showing if you horse gives a sign of resistance, such as tail movement you will get points taken off. Blocking assures the horse will not swish there tail when you give them a cue.
The consequence for using drugs in horses in minimal. Most trainers caught using a mild drug in their horses will get a fine. If someone is caught using a more severe drug they can get 1 -2 years penalty from showing. This can be devastating to a trainer’s carrier. Horse’s side effects are much worse. When steroids are used on halter horses the horse’s upper body out grows their legs. This causes the horse to come lame very easily. When pain killers are used in race horses the result can be devastating, the horse continues to run full speed without feeling any pain, the result is broken legs, or even death. When blocking is used the horse will have no or very little felling of there tail. There are now test at high level shows to insure the horses tail has not been blocked. The only way to reverse a blocked tail is a complicated nerve surgery, or laser treatment.
Today I have gone over the History of drugs, consequences, and types and uses. Its true that people will do anything to win, even it that means endangering their horses with illegal drugs. Even though drugs are commonly used behind the sense at horse shows, it is frowned upon by many people.
Thanks!;)
Thanks, spelling is not my thing lol. Even with spell check;)

LAWYERS PLEASE HELP! According to this letter from the prosecuting attny., how much time is my bf looking at?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on July 10, 2010
First of all, my boyfriend has only had a DUI at age 18 which I don’t think went on his permenant record. He is now 33. He became a heroin addict and is being charged (I think) w/ stealing 2 checks from his former employer and cashing them. The amount totaled around $750. He was charged with 2 Class C Felonies. A year later, he stole some merchandise item from another employer. I believe it was valued around $250. This was a Class D Felony. This is the letter from the prosecuting attorney to his lawyer:
Dear Mr. ________,
In an attempt to resolve the above referenced matter, I can propose the following plea offer. The defendant would plead guilty to as charged to Count 1, Forgery, as a Class C Felony. He would be sentenced to (8) years in the IN Dept. of Corrections. Two (2) years of said sentence would be suspended and the defendant (MY BOYFRIEND) would be placed on probation for (2) years. The defendant willl be ordered to pay court costs and restitution to the victims in both counts under Cause Numbers____ and restitution to victim anunder cause number_________. The defendant may petition the court to modify his sentence to work release or GPS after serving 1/2 of the executed sentence. Upon sentencing, Count II in, Cause Cause No. __________ and Cause No._________ shall be dismissed.
PLEASE DISCUSS THIS MATTER WITH YOURR CLIENT AND ADVISE AT YOUR EARLIEST POSSIBLE OPPORTUNITY.
My boyfriend obviously would have never done any of this had it not been for heroin. I am NOT saying he doesn’t deserve time (HE DOES) but this seems very harsh for someone who never had a record until recently.
He already has done 2 1/2 months in jail (where he is now) and was on tether for 3 months after the first arrest as a condition of his bond. He does not have any money and cannot afford the best lawyer. Nor can his lawyer suggest a rehab because my bf doesn’t have the money for rehab. I believe he deserves a year in JAIL but no time in prison.
My main question is what is he really looking at here????
THANKS!
This is my situation my 20 year old son has been acting mentally unstable what do I do?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on July 10, 2010
talking very vulgarly, loud, demands attention, talks over everyone, speaks of suicide, I have called crisis center and had the police escort him there but he plays it off to the doctors that he is completely normal and has no issues but when he comes back home he acts out immediately. He feels he is hated by everyone. I have 3 younger children and this has affected all of us. Now we are hostile towards him. He is also recently been discovered that he was using meth, Ecstasy, weed ect. I have tried to take him to go to rehab he refuses to go and he was ordered by the court to take anger management classes which he also failed to do. He blames me for all of his problems and takes no personal responsibility. He also has an ex girlfriend that put a restraining order against him and she has been rubbing in his face that she cheated on him so he is threating to cut his throat in front of her to show her how much she hurt him. I called the suicide hotline and the only advice they gave me is he is acting like someone who is on serious drugs and he needs to take care of that problem. He is in complete denial about everything. My options are limited considering he is a legal adult and I can’t force him to do anything. I don’t want to give up on him but I don’t know how much more I can deal with. What are my options for him considering he is a legal adult? help . Mom in desperation.!

Tea Tree Oil can be used as a highly effective douche treatment against yeast infections. It is recommended that you purchase a small dropper bottle that can be used to store the solution.
* Combine 1 teaspoon of Tea Tree Oil with 1 teaspoon of isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol).
* Mix the solution, which should appear milky white.
* Store the solution in the dropper bottle.
* Add 10 drops of the solution to a pint of water.
* Use this douche once a day for a week in order to rinse the vagina.
Is this part of being bipolar?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on July 9, 2010
I was diagnosed with it a few months ago but have been pretty much in denial until now.
Deep feelings on loneliness, Feeling like I need to do something, desire for love, deep pressure inside my stomach, my room feeling like a prison. Walking for hours to try to feel free. Night makes it worse, desire to jump on a bus and go to the other side of the country.
That’s how I been feeling since friday. I was tempted to go get drunk to atlest feel happy but I knew this would be a mistake after my battle with alcoholism.
I should add there are times I feel superior to others, have high self esteem, workout 6 days a week, eat healthy, run daily, concerned with my apparence. Usually lasting a week to 2 weeks
How do I go about solving this statistics problem?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on July 8, 2010
I am not asking for the answer to this problem. I would just like to know how to go about solving it. I have a TI-83 plus calculator (I know this problem requires the use of a calculator in order to perform the test), so it would be helpful if you could refer to that or a similar calculator. Once again, I am not asking for the answer and am not trying to have others do my homework for me. I truly want to learn how to do this. Thank you for your help.
An experiment was conducted to test the effects of alcohol. The errors were recorded in a test of visual and motor skills for a treatment group of people who drank ethanol and another group given a placebo. The results are shown in the accompanying table. Use a 0.05 significance level to test the claim that the two groups come from populations with the same mean. Do these results support the common belief that drinking is hazardous for drivers, pilots, ship captains, and so on?
Treatment group:
n1=22
x1=4.20
s1=2.20
Placebo Group
n2=22
x2=1.71

Why aren’t these doctors in prison?
Smith, Barlow, M.D., Lic. #F9026, Marble Falls TX
On June 29, 2009, the Board and Dr. Smith entered into an agreed order of public reprimand requiring that, within one year, he complete the professional boundaries course offered by the University of California San Diego Physician Assessment and Clinical Education (PACE) program or the Vanderbilt Center for Professional Health and that he pay an administrative penalty of $3,000 within 180 days. The action was based on Dr. Smith’s repeated sexual contact with a psychiatric patient who had a history of being sexually abused, and on his telling his fiancée, who called the patient and insulted her.
Mullen, John B., M.D., Lic. #G1123, Mount Pleasant TX
On August 21, 2009, the Board and Dr. Mullen entered into a five-year agreed order requiring that he abstain from prohibited substances; that he establish a physician-patient relationship and undergo a complete examination by both a board-certified internal medicine physician and board-certified cardiologist approved by the Executive Director, and if continuing care is recommended Dr. Mullen shall undergo continuing care and treatment by either or both of the physicians for the treatment of any condition that, without adequate treatment, could adversely affect his ability to safely practice medicine; that he obtain an independent medical evaluation from an evaluating psychiatrist; that he continue seeing his counselor; and that he participate in AA at least six times a month. The action was based on Dr. Mullen’s treatment of an emergency room patient while he was intoxicated, resulting in his inability to intubate a patient in respiratory distress. After three unsuccessful attempts the patient died. In addition, Dr. Mullen has serious cardiac issues he has been treating himself.
Turner, Richard T., M.D., Lic. #G9237, Valley Mills TX
On August 21, 2009, the Board and Dr. Turner entered into an agreed order of restriction by which Dr. Turner agrees not to resume the practice of medicine until he appears before the board and presents evidence that he is competent to practice medicine. The action was based on his inability to practice because of a physical condition and his abuse of alcohol.
Klem, Jeffrey, M.D., Lic. #L2379, Beaumont TX
On August 21, 2009, the Board and Dr. Klem entered a 15-year agreed order of public reprimand in which Dr. Klem’s license was suspended, the suspension was stayed and Dr. Klem was placed under the following conditions: Dr. Klem may not have direct or indirect contact with patients under the age of 21; when treating patients 21 and older, Dr. Klem must have a chaperone present; he must practice in a group or institutional setting; within 30 days he must submit names of treating psychiatrists to be approved for care and treatment, and within 30 days of approval must begin care and treatment with a psychiatrist and follow the psychiatrist’s recommendations; within one year he must take and pass the Texas Medical Jurisprudence Examination; within one year he must complete the professional boundaries course offered by Vanderbilt Medical Center for Professional Health or the similar course offered by the University of California San Diego Physician Assessment and Clinical Education (PACE); he must present copies of the order to his probation officers in Harris and Jefferson Counties and present his probation orders to his TMB compliance officer; and within 90 days he must pay an administrative penalty of $5,000. The action was based on Dr. Klem’s guilty plea in Beaumont to injury to a child based on three allegations of unwanted sexual contact with a minor child, for which he served six months in Jefferson County Jail, and his guilty plea of injury to a child, a third-degree felony, in 176th District Court in Harris County
Olmsted, William R., M.D., Lic. #J1550, Georgetown TX
On August 21, 2009, the Board and Dr. Olmsted entered into an agreed order of public reprimand revoking his license, staying the revocation and placing him on probation for 10 years under the following terms and conditions: that he have an independent psychiatric evaluation; that he limit his practice to a group or institutional setting; that within one year he complete the professional boundaries courses offered by Vanderbilt University Medical Center for Professional Health or the University of California San Diego Physician Assessment and Clinical Education (PACE) program; that within 180 days he pay an administrative penalty of $5,000; and that he comply with the terms of his plea agreement in Criminal District Court in Dallas County, including paying a fine, registering as a sex offender, obtaining counseling, performing community service and ceasing contact with children except his own. The action was based on Dr. Olmsted’s nolo contendere plea of indecency with a child by contact, a second degree felony.

Alcohol Addiction – What is alcoholism?
Alcohol addiction is simply defined as a compulsive need for an intoxicating liquid that is obtained from fermented grain or fruit. These liquids include beer, wine, and other hard liquors.
Alcoholism is present when a person craves alcohol and cannot limit or contain his or her drinking. If someone experiences withdrawal symptoms such as nausea, sweating, shakiness, or anxiety when alcohol consumption has ceased, or if there is a need to drink greater amounts of alcohol in order to feel a high, that person is most likely alcoholic.
Some may think that it’s just a matter of having the will to stop drinking, but alcoholism is more complicated than that. An alcoholic’s craving for alcohol is so great that it suppresses their ability to stop drinking. The majority of alcoholics need assistance to stop drinking. With treatment and support from family and friends, many have been able to stop drinking and rebuild their lives. It is a sad fact however that there are still some who are unable to stop in spite of these aids.
Alcohol Addiction – What are the causes and effects of alcoholism?
Scientists say that someone who has alcoholic addiction in his/her family is more likely to develop alcoholism if they choose to drink.
