IS THERE ANY CASE LAW REGARDING PROBATIONARY EMPLOYMENT THAT WILL HELP ME?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on July 5, 2010
I was a police officer in Ohio for 363 days. With 12 days left in my 1 year probation period I was hit by a drunk driver responding to a call, (I was nearly killed) with lights and siren to assist another officer who had a felony stop. Then 2 days shy of my 1 year probation I was fired by the mayor.
The police chief advised the mayor to wait until the official accident investigation was over before he made any decisions, but he did not care, and ordered the Chief to fire me.
I was cleared in the accident, I was not at fault. The Mayor would not re-instate me, stating I was fired because I failed to meet probationary standards. The mayor knew if he had left me on paid leave until the investigation was complete, those 2 days would have passed, and I would have had full union representation and I could not be fired, especially after the accident investigation implicated the guy that hit me, (he had alcohol, cocaine and marijuana in his blood).
I am suing the city for discrimination, unequal treatment and defamation of character.
Is there any case law that will help my case?
Why aren’t drugs legal, when there is so much money to be saved and made?

From a business stand point, you’re looking at a market potentially as large and profitable as the tobacco or alcohol industries.
From a social stand point, you’re looking ending victimless crime and criminals.
From a financial stand point, less criminals means less inmates, less inmates means prison funding, less funding means less tax.
Less criminals also means less enforcement (ei. DEA & drug task forces), which means even lower taxes.
From a legal standpoint you’re looking at laws similar to those in place for alcohol and tobacco.
Everybody wins.
Why do people always find God in prison & rehab? Does he like hanging out there more than rich peoples homes?

Why isn’t there a drunk driver registry? Or a manslaughter registry?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on June 30, 2010
We have a sex offender registry, that parades these guys – Well what about the drunk driver that killed a family of 5 and is out of prison in 8 years on good behavior? How can we track them- alcoholism has an extremely high recidivism rate. Or what about the people that were convicted of manslaughter or murder but released form prison on parole? A murder could move in right next door and I would never know it!!
Hu,mmm – for that matter why don’t we just have a FELONY registry – to track ALL convicted felons????
If my baby’s dad won’t get treatments for his alcohol problem, will there be a chance I can get full custody?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on June 27, 2010
My baby’s dad is an alcoholic and I know his liver is damage from his drinking, not only that I got an PFA on him for his abuse on me. I don’t want to hurt him with the baby I just want the courts to help me to order him to get treatments for his alcohol, depression and there is a chance that he is bi-polar. He is not ready to be a dad but he did watch my other son, while I worked on the weekends. The only bad side is he left my son home alone so he can go to the bar to drink and that is when the abuse started. I had to come home from work and did not make money because of his drinking. I want him to have supervised visitations because he will drink if he does not have his visitations supervise and with his drinking he will not be able to care for our baby. I going to file full sole custody of the baby next month so when the baby is born my attorney can schedule a hearing date for custody. Should I file child support in the baby’s dad’s condition. He has threaten suicide on me.
Are there any alcohol rehabs in Alabama?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on June 27, 2010
I’m planning to enter an alcohol rehab to help me with my drinking problems. I don’t consider my self to be an alcoholic but I think I drink too much that I’ve become an alcohol abuser. I love drinking alcohol but I’m also aware of the negative effects it has on me but I didn’t care. Now, I want to change. I want to put my drinking habit aside and start my life again. I just met the woman of my dreams and I know I have to be sober in order for her to love me back. I live in Alabama and I want to receive treatment from a place near home. Thank you.
how long is there no contact with others while in long term rehab?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on June 26, 2010
My bf got sent to court ordered rehab for 9 months. I know there is a period where they cannot have contact with anyone besides their family. The program won’t give me any information so I was just wondering if anyone knew how long that period is. It has been 2 months and he hasn’t even been able to write me a letter. Thanks.
I don’t do any drugs. He hid his drugs use from me for the majority of the time. His family was able to visit him but the program won’t give them information about when he’ll be able to speak to me either. I was just wondering if anyone had been in this situation or alteast know how long I have to wait to speak to him.

Do you think there should be some kind of requirement to become a parent in our society?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on April 26, 2010
Ok, I know this is extreme and completely unrealistic to put constraints on who can procreate but geez…..I just get soooo sick of seeing people on here who clearly are horrible parents! They contribute to a cycle of horrible behavior that just pulls down society and causes all sorts of problems. Think about it – the alcoholic mother or abusive father…..guess how their kid is going to freakin’ turn out? And guess who will pay for it? Society….and of course their kid.
Should we make parenting classes mandatory in this country? I’m not saying we say who can and cannot have kids but it seems clear that ALOT of people in this country don’t have the first clue how to be a good parent! So before they ruin a kid’s life, isn’t it a good idea to say “hey…if you’re gonna create this life, then you need to take responsibility for raising a decent human being.” I know this is a crazy idea and it’s really more venting than anything.
Almost all crime in the Scandinavian states is committed by atheists – is there a connection?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on April 26, 2010
Both there and in Denmark and Holland they artiifically created a low official crime rate by legalizing drugs and prostituion, also citing figures based on number of violent crimes ( numerical),which would obviously be low given their small size. Per capita figures do not seem to be available, which would afford the only standard of comparison with a larger society. I ask because we have this Dutch man on board who keeps pushing the idea of a link between Christianity and crime. He also points to Holland as a model state when it’s a culturally non-fecund state with sky-high heroin addiction and juvenile prostitution. He tirelessly reiterates that most American prison inmates cite a religious denomination, therefore most criminals are Christian. His logic, not mine. i say,if that is so,then would not the fact that almost all crime in Holland is committed by atheists “prove’ a relationship between atheism and crime/ Opinions?
It is atheists who claim a correlation between religion or lack of it and crime, not I; I think the religious background or lack of one in a criminal population is merely a reflection of the religious character of the society. I note many atheists employing the old urban liberal stunt of using factoids – stats derived from an obviously biased web-site or “study” – their favorite justification for everything is “studies have shown…” Then you check out the source, and it’s some lobby-type org. By the way,how is legalizing crime like narcotics not artifically creating a seemingly lower crime rate? We have many drug dealers in our prisons which is exactly where they should be. It’s easy to have a “low crime rate” when you keep legalizing crime.
When there is no court order for visitation – do you have to let him?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on February 9, 2010
We do not have a court order for visitation or child support – I have just been letting him come over and see our 4 mos old twin girls at my house. He has a drug issue and I will not allow him to take the babies until he at least attempts a drug rehab program. I know he has taken his boys (from his own lips) with him when he picks up his drugs. He shared this before the babies were an issue – so do I have to allow him to see them? or can I hold out until he has the you know whats to go to court? and can he get unsupervised visits if I can prove he is a crack addict to the judge?
Upon receiving the first 17 answers I have phoned an attorney and booked myself on Jerry Springer to pay for the attorney – thanks to the “man” for 2 cents- he only builds my case against them.
I am interested in starting a residential drug rehabilitation program. Is there funding available, and where?
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on February 6, 2010
I am interested in starting this program in the state of Georgia. It will consist of only males 25 years or older.
Also, what kind of requirements do I need to meet to receive funding?
Is there a requirement to be able to be administered into a drug rehabilitation center?
