I got court ordered PTI. I will be drug tested soon. What exactly do they test for in SC?

Question by lodi0420: I got court ordered PTI. I will be drug tested soon. What exactly do they test for in SC?
I need to know if they can tell the difference between opiates. Some tests just have opiates and that could be Lortabs to Heroin. While others can tell the difference between hydocodone, oxycodone, heroin, etc… Of ciourse they test for coke, pot, amphetamins (speed, adderall), and PCP. But I need to know if they break down the opiates. Please and thank you for any info.
Well I do have scripts for darvocet, xanax, soma, & zoloft. I’m just wondering if the darvocet will show up as an opiate or as something else. I’m going to get my doctor to move me up to Lortabs this week before I actually start PTI too. Because if they give a larger panel test they can tell the difference and i have been recreationally using OC 30s. So I want to know if they will show up the same. Thank you for responding…

If you’re on meds with any opiates in it, you’ll have to tell them, and they’ll probably want to speak with the doc who prescribed it. Also any meds your on, they NEED to know about-I’m on suboxone, so I’d need to tell them that if I was still on PTI. I’ve been off it for like 7 years, though, or something like that. No more drugs for me, but still take suboxone unfortunatly:(

I don’t think they breakdown the opiates-maybe they do if they know they have to, like if you’re on a med with an opiate in it, but if they don’t think they have to, they definitely won’t and you’ll have to explain yourself under not so nice curcumstances, so I’d definitely tell them if you’re on meds-every kind, and if not prescribed to you, stop taking them asap!!!! As a responsible mom now, you shouldn’t be taking them anyway of course, lol, but you will get in trouble if you don’t provide proof they were prescribed to YOU!!!!!!!

Good luck:)

I turn 18 soon. My mom keeps drug testing me (I keep passing), and I LIVE with my dad. Can I refuse when Im 18?

Question by : I turn 18 soon. My mom keeps drug testing me (I keep passing), and I LIVE with my dad. Can I refuse when Im 18?
Also, can she get authorities involved? CAN she get a court ordered drug test for an 18 year old? Or will I have the right to refuse? And if I pass what happens? (assuming she can legally MAKE an 18 year old take a drug test of course)(which I’ll pass) I’d think that I can legally refuse to take anymore drug tests when I turn 18.

Can child support recovery do a modification of child support as soon as it is placed?

court ordered recovery
by Ashnag

Question by gladhesgone: Can child support recovery do a modification of child support as soon as it is placed?
I was court ordered for 1 kid in 1996. Now 12 years later, I still get them same amount. However he has stopped paying. My son is 13. If I place him in child support recovery. can I have them modify it for me, or do I have to wait 2 more years from when I place it with them?

Thanks

No. A judge has to make the modification. You can file right away to get an adjustment on child support. I think all states allow it after 3 years of an original support order. The child support recovery people can only act on what has already been ordered.

I was arrested for DUI, and am soon to be sentenced 2-7 days. What do I tell my 2 teenaged sons?

I was arrested in February while still married. Our divorce is now done, and we have joint physical custody. I have entered an out-patient treatment program for alcoholism. My kids have never seen me drink in excess, and rarely saw me drink at all. Yet I admit I am an alcoholic, and my wife is addicted to prescription drugs (she’s still in denial). How much do I tell my kids when they jail me for 2-7 days (probably) and I lose my license for a year? I want to give them the truth, but how much? And should I tell them this week before court? Neither my ex nor my kids even know about the arrest or treatment yet. I am committed to quiting. What and how much do I say?
