If a judge orders someone to have no consumption of alcohol before a trial, how do they find out if you do?

Question by Mark: If a judge orders someone to have no consumption of alcohol before a trial, how do they find out if you do?
Do they scan debit card purchases, or does it buzz them if your I.D. gets scanned to purchase it? Or, better yet, would they find out if a pre-employment drug test turned up positive for alcohol? Do they have access to that? I’m only asking because I suspect someone I know.
Thanks. I don’t know whether or not I want this person to get in trouble as we used to be friends, but had a bit of a falling out. Plus they think they can get away with anything, and that’s ridiculous.

They test you – in court. Before, during or after, as the judge sees fit. You’ll pay the expenses. No need for any other elaborate schemes.
Peace.

Is it non-Christian to sue someone?

Hello, I am going through a divorce, and my ex doesn’t want to pay child support for our two year old son. I have been faithful to him despite all of the conflict during and after our marriage, his cheating, alcoholism, and sexual abuse in various forms. I found out after our son was born he was severely abused as a child and subsequently the effects manifested negatively into our relationship. I sought counseling, but he was in the military and regular therapy was impossible. He was in prison for the past 5 months, and upon his release went to live with his mother, resume drinking and etc. after mailing me letters almost daily about his renewed faith and how we could make our family work with devotion to God in our lives. I have been hurt and disappointed by this man so much, and he is hurting us more by not providing for us as I raise our son alone so he can regress and relapse with an abusive family member. I know legally I could sue him and other means of restitution, but as a Christian it is written I should turn the other cheek. I don’t want to set myself up to be a victim by him again, but I still have hopes one day he will return, healthy and ready to be responsible and happy with a simple life. I do not know how to handle this, I feel disgusted to have divorced as it is not with my beliefs, but lost in my faith as a result. Feelings of abandonment and resentment for not understanding God’s plan for me and my son are predominant. Should I let go of the impulse to pursue justice in a legal arena? Should I let God handle it even if it seems unfair and frustrating to allow us to continue suffering financially and emotionally? My ex is predominately Native American, and I am of small decent, and 2012 is a concern for our family as well. I feel like we are falling victim to dark presence/power in our lives. Very confused, but looking to seek guidance and light. Can you help? Please don’t send negativity, thank you.

Can someone please edit my essay? I just want feedback on my writing.?

Because I was once homeless myself, I am committed to helping others achieve personal growth and take an interest in their own well-being. I find that helping others is rewarding in itself and as long as I can make a positive difference in someone’s life, I will know that I have contributed to that person’s efforts to change his or her life. As a result of my personal experience, I understand the constant despair and frustration experienced by those who find it challenging to cope with everyday life and problems. I am also convinced that increasing one’s own sense of empowerment can make the difference between a future of despondency and one filled with hope.

I grew up in a single parent family household with my mother, with whom I frequently had arguments. When I found out I was going to have a baby, my relationship with my mother deteriorated further. There was too much family conflict so I left. Eventually, I found myself homeless. Needless to say, being homeless was a constant struggle. Months later, I found a shelter on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles, which was the worst part of the experience for me. Here I was- homeless, about to have a baby, with no money and no place to live. I felt alone and felt that nobody cared about my situation. At the shelter, I met a social worker, and she helped ease my concerns. I told her of my situation with my mother and she was there for me when I needed someone to talk to. She encouraged me to resolve my conflict with my mother and go back home. When I moved back home, I made a sincere effort to heal my relationship with my mother. Six months later, I found a job as a counselor, working with adolescents who have experienced similar situations to mine. I was able to save enough money to move into my first apartment. From this experience, I learned that I had the ability to persevere through my most challenging times. I developed empathy for people struggling with everyday problems, and, most of all, I learned the importance of having support from my family. Overall, social workers make a remarkable difference in overcoming life’s challenges.

I am applying to the Master’s in Social Work Program because it is my goal to help others to embrace their inner potential in an effort to make a positive life transition. I began my preparation to achieve my personal goal while I worked at Harbor View Adolescent Center, a level-14 group home facility, as a youth counselor. My primary work responsibility was to serve as a positive role model for adolescents 12 to 18. The adolescents had backgrounds, such as being homeless and victims of physical and sexual abuse. Others had problems with drug and alcohol abuse, depression, and the criminal justice system. At times, the position was extremely stressful but I discovered that I had the ability to connect with the adolescents and develop strong emotional ties with them. I focused on several areas of treatment, including their social skills, coping skills, and independent living skills. My main ambition was to help them to build their self-esteem and improve their sense of security. As a youth counselor, I have gained valuable experience in listening to adolescents and helping them make positive decisions in order to improve the quality of the their lives. Overall, my career goal is to help vulnerable and oppressed individuals because I want to ensure that they have access to effective services, quality resources, and much needed guidance.

Most importantly, I want to become a professional social worker because I want to do everything that is within my power to enhance human well-being and help meet the needs of all people in my community, especially its most vulnerable members. This is my professional calling to do all that I can to make these people whole, empowering them so that one day many could even become be happy productive individuals.

could someone review my essay and give me a review?

Help I need some to review my essay.

Client Issues, Approaches and Gaps

There are several issues that are facing our consumers at Mental Health Kokua. One of the major issues is for the consumers who are suffering from such illness of schizophrenia, Bi-Polar and nomadic-depression the decline of coverage for medicine and services that were previously covered under med quest. Decline in economy has put a lot of these consumers in dire straight, where to get these services and who can they rely on to fill the gap of no medical coverage for medication.
Due to changes in medical coverage many consumers are no longer able to get those services met. Changes in med-quest deny many consumers of Mental Health Kokua the use of services that are provided at our facility. Today they have no coverage and Mental Health Kokua is seeking to get services for the consumers in there program. Many are still receiving basic needs meet from the agency, such as food, clothing, some sort of housing assistance and help on medication, through Kahi Holomua. Community based case manager with the help of Adult Mental Health Kokua was able to assist these client.
The closing of MHK (Mental Health Kokua) homeless outreach was a major blow to the consumers who are houseless with a severe mental health issue. Many of them used our service to get connected to a psychiatric, finding a bed for a night, assisting in getting some medical attention in regards to sores and infections. The outreach services was the connection to reaching out to those who did not have transportation or unable to come to our door to receive mental health services.
Another is helping the consumer and some of the case managers address the issue of chemical dependency. Many consumers with mental health issues use substance abuse in order to self-medicate themselves, when not doing to well managing there prescribed medications many consumers use substance to feel better. The agency offers various training to the staff one is through Kahi Holomua’s, supervisor Ann Lang teaching them various techniques in identifying clients that are self-medicating themselves through alcohol or illicit drugs. Having these classes or training is making the case manager more efficient in there attempts to help the consumer become social, and productive in there community and contribute to resilience in there own recovery. Empowers the client to be successful in there recovery to live an independent life and manage there medication with a better understanding of the illness and not the self.
Finding community activities that are culturally informative has been an issue. Cultural can be a major issue, being that mental health has never been the norm of many cultural but the staff of Kahi Holomua does a wide variety of functions in the community that keeps the cultural aspect alive. Many activities are based around cultural information we attend arts shows at Maui Art and Cultural Center. Visit museums, walk around in the whaling town of Lahaina, visit the petting zoo in Haiku, and taro patches. Many of our consumers have never been to these places or some have vivid memories of living in that area that we visit. We also attend “Brown Bag”, it is an informative lunch event, and we bring our own lunch. They have a wide variety of topics that are discussed at the presentation Bipolar Illness, Eating Disorder, Postpartum Depression, and Teen Suicide. This event is open to the public, mental health consumers, and families.
In conclusion, MHK works tirelessly advocating for the client improvement, treatment and care on a daily basis with consumers with mental health issues. There maybe some gaps that I could have over looked. MHK still reaches out to those who are at need of there services. Dealing with the issue is only part of the problem helping the consumer is the goal of self-determination, empowering and building socialization instead of isolation. Having the client looking at themselves and not the disorder is the focus that MHK maintains.

Can someone interpret this Michigan law?

Well I am 18 and have 1 MIP of Tobacco on my record. I just got a ticket for Minor Consumption of Alcohol. Does the following help me? 436.1703

(a) For the first violation a fine of not more than $100.00, and may be ordered to participate in substance abuse prevention services or substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation services as defined in section 6107 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.6107, and designated by the administrator of substance abuse services, and may be ordered to perform community service and to undergo substance abuse screening and assessment at his or her own expense as described in subsection (4).

Also is there anything I can do to lower the fine or take an alternative punishment? Or anything I can do to keep this from going on my record?

can someone please translate this english into tagalog?

Alcohol Addiction – What is alcoholism?
Alcohol addiction is simply defined as a compulsive need for an intoxicating liquid that is obtained from fermented grain or fruit. These liquids include beer, wine, and other hard liquors.

Alcoholism is present when a person craves alcohol and cannot limit or contain his or her drinking. If someone experiences withdrawal symptoms such as nausea, sweating, shakiness, or anxiety when alcohol consumption has ceased, or if there is a need to drink greater amounts of alcohol in order to feel a high, that person is most likely alcoholic.

Some may think that it’s just a matter of having the will to stop drinking, but alcoholism is more complicated than that. An alcoholic’s craving for alcohol is so great that it suppresses their ability to stop drinking. The majority of alcoholics need assistance to stop drinking. With treatment and support from family and friends, many have been able to stop drinking and rebuild their lives. It is a sad fact however that there are still some who are unable to stop in spite of these aids.
Alcohol Addiction – What are the causes and effects of alcoholism?
Scientists say that someone who has alcoholic addiction in his/her family is more likely to develop alcoholism if they choose to drink.

Can someone here tell me how to find an alcohol rehab in Monroeville, Pennsylvania?

My daughter has turned to alcohol ever since her dad died. They were always so close and his passing away was really hard on her. Last night we had a talk, and I made her realize that her dad won’t be happy with her if he knew what she was doing to herself. She has already agreed to treatment. What should I do in order for me to find an alcohol rehab for her?

I fell in love with someone who doesnt give a hoot….?

So basically I was “f-buddies” and a “low-end” sugar daddy to a 17-year-old twink every day for 2 months. I’m in my twenties.

(16 is age-of-consent in michigan)

To make a long story short, I fell in love with him.

He was then court-ordered to attend rehab for weed, and placed in foster care for 3 months.

I’ve always been clean/sober my entire life.

Now he is distancing himself from me BIG time and basically is giving me hints to “f-off” and ignoring me making me a low priority.

Obviously my heart is broken.

Is it 100% over …..or is there a chance when he gets out of foster care he might contact me again?

someone explain to me how the blame could possibly be put on me?

Alright.. I’m 16, with an 8 month old, I’m emancipated. A week ago, my 20 month old sister got taken out of my mothers care, and placed in a foster home. After 24 hours, I had a home study, and a background check, and she was placed with me. I have temporary custody, and my mother was court ordered into a rehab, that accepts mothers with children.

She’s in the process of trying to get in, the only thing stopping her, is they don’t think they have the funding, which means someone else will have to pay out of pocket. It would be $2,700 a month, which I can in NO way afford. My school tuition is $23,000 a year, I have a baby, rent, insurance, and I have a life.

Somehow, this is my fault. It’s my fault that the baby got taken from her, it’s my fault that she can’t get into the rehab, it’s my fault that I can’t pay for it… and everything, is coincidentally MY fault.

Can someone explain how? I’d LOVE to know.

Can someone please tell me if my essay sounds good?

I am applying to the Master’s in social Work program because my goal is to improve the lives and enhance the well being of individuals who are often discriminated, disadvantaged, and poor. I want to help others maximize their potential and steer their lives in a positive direction. I am particularly concerned about helping change the lives of our most vulnerable individuals, troubled and neglected youth. Therefore, I want to become a social worker to make a positive difference in their lives and empower these individuals to help them function more effectively with their problems.
I am a thirty four year old woman who struggled and overcame being homeless. When I was homeless, having an advocate and an mentor helped me connect with employment services. But first I needed someone to meet me where I was and treat me with dignity.
I had a mentor that taught and guided me with in my life. The impact that she had on my life inspired me to want to help others. I want to use the knowledge and understanding I have gained to assist people in changing their lives. I believe education is the key to being able to do that. Specifically, a Master’s degree in Social Work would put me in the greatest position for achieving my goal. A social worker on Skid Row in Los Angeles started me on a path toward healing my own life. She provided me with constant support and a sense of hope. Six months later, I found a job as a youth counselor at H.V. Group Home, a residential treatment facility, working with incarcerated youth who were mostly minorities. I am deeply concerned by the high incarceration rates in our society, specifically the way youth lead the way in going to jail, rather than being productive individuals in society. It is my sincere hope to contribute on how to best counsel and care for at risk youth. My research interest focuses on juveniles, especially those at risk spending their young adulthood behind bars.
In my job as a youth counselor, my primary work responsibility was to serve as a positive role model for adolescents aged twelve to eighteen. The residents encountered issues such as physical and sexual abuse and homelessness. Some of them had problems with drug and alcohol abuse, depression, and juvenile justice system. I focused on several areas of treatment including their social skills, coping skills, and independent living skills. My main goal was to help them build their self-esteem and improve their sense of security.
The adolescents could become physically assaultive and self-harm themselves. It was during these critical situations that I would experience problems in knowing what to the best clinical approach was to use when a child was self-harming. I would like to have better tolls to help these kids when they are in crises and know whether the interventions work. I hope that with the aid of the Master’s degree in Social Work I can achieve that. I want to be able to help them in their time of crises and teach them the necessary skills the kids will need to transition into a more independent way of living. These youth need all the attention we can give them in order to prevent recidivism, especially African Americans and Hispanic males, who tend to continually come back into the system. If your program were to grant me the privilege of studying in your program, I would like to research the recidivism rates of African American and Hispanic juveniles and young adults. I hope to contribute to our understanding of how we can improve the quality of lives of these individuals.

In my life, I have set my own guiding principles. Although I can talk about my biggest principles. Inspiration can come in a multitude of forms, but mine comes in the form of service. As a career, I want to be a social worker, helping the poor, the hurt, and those whose lives have dealt them a bad hand. To me, gratitude would be enough to keep me going. I have always lived by the motto “do unto others as you would have done to you”, and feel that the best way to do this is by furthering the ideal of social justice in the way I live and work. Social justice, as I see it, is the value system that recognizes the inherent worth and dignity of every human being and the right of everyone to be treated fairly and with respect. I believe that every individual is worthy of dignity and respect and each individual has the ability to become self-sufficient and able to make the best possible decisions for themselves. When we as a society try to see the world through the eyes of the less fortunate, we can empathize with and understand one another instead of focusing on our differences. Only when each and every individual of a community is afforded the same level of dignity and respect can a society truly be called civilized. Can someone please edit my essay for social work?

I decided that I wanted to be a social worker when I realized that social work is very similar to psychology( my major in undergrad), except it puts more emphasis on helping people and finding their strengths rather than giving them a diagnosis and being predominantly problem-focused. My own decision in enjoying helping people with their problems influenced me to want to pursue a profession in social work.

Becoming a full professional with a graduate degree in Social Work represents the culmination of a life long of personal and professional preparation. I have so enjoyed working with people, helping them with their problems. At 34, I feel that I have the necessary maturity to perform at my very best level, again, as a student. I now also have a high level of motivation that accompanies my current position working with incarcerated youth, mostly minority. However, I am deeply concerned by the explosive incarceration rates in America, and the way African Americans and Hispanics lead the way going to jail, rather than college, working, etc. This sense of urgency makes me an excellent candidate for your Master’s program because I am so fully engaged with my place of employment. It is my sincere hope to be able to make some modest contribution to discussions of how to best counsel and care for at-risk youths, in my case my research interest is in boys, especially those at-risk for spending their young adulthood behind bars.My inspiration and level of motivation, it all speaks to be graduate school as a place where I belong.

I am currently working at Harbor View Adolescent Center as a Youth Counselor for incarcerated youth with behavioral and emotional problems in a residential treatment facility. In my job as a youth counselor, my primary work responsibility was to serve as a positive role model for adolescents aged twelve to eighteen. The residents had backgrounds of being homeless and victims of physical and sexual abuse. Some of them were also dealing with drug and alcohol abuse, depression, and the criminal justice system. At times, my job was extremely stressful. But I discovered that I had the ability to connect with the adolescents and develop strong emotional ties with them. I focused on helping them with their social skills, coping skills, and independent living skills. My main goal was to help them build their self-esteem and improve their sense of security.

The adolescents that I worked with in the residential treatment facility at times would get physically assaultive, throwing chairs and banging their heads on the doors. They would also exhibit self-harming behaviors. It was during these crisis situations that I would get stuck in knowing the best clinical approach to use when they were self-harming. I would like to have better tools for helping these kids when they are in crisis, and whether those interventions are well supported by the literature. I hope that with the aid of a Master’s degree in Social Work I will be able to do just that. I will be able to help my kids in crisis and am at teaching them the necessary skills so that they can transition into more independent living.

These youth need all the help and attention we can give them in order to fight recidivism, especially African American and Hispanic males, who continue to come back into our system. If you were to grant me the privilege of studying in your program, I hope to be able to research the recidivisim rates of black and Hispanic juveniles and young adoelscents so as to contribute to our understanding of how we can best go about saving their lives and, at the same time, easing the financial burdens on our society.

First, I needed someone to meet me where I was and treat me with dignity. This is what I want to do for others. Having an advocate really showed me that homeless people may simply need someone that cares and can point them in the right direction. This is what motivated me to enroll in your program and hopefully help others in the same way I was cared for. I appreciate your consideration for enrollment and am hopeful that I can further my education at your institution and use those skills in my mission to help others.

I am deeply concerned by the high incarceration rates in our society, specifically the way youth lead the way in going to jail, rather than going to college or working. It is my sincere hope to contribute on how to best counsel and care for at risk youth. My research interest focuses on troubled youth, especially those at risk of spending their young adulthood behind bars.

In my job as a youth counselor, my primary responsibility while working was to serve as a positive role model for adolescents aged twelve to fourteen. The adolescents encountered issues such as physical and sexual abuse, depression, drug and alcohol abuse. At times, my job could be extremely stressful. I focused on several areas of treatment including their social skills, coping skills, and independent living skills. My main goal was to help them build their self-esteem and improve their sense of security.

The adolescents could become physically assaultive and would do themselves harm. It was during these critical situations that I would experience problems in knowing what the best clinical approach was to use when a child was self-harming. I would like to have better tools to help these kids when they are in crises and know whether the interventions are supported by the literature. I hope that with the aid of the Master’s degree in Social Work, I can achieve that. I want to be able to help them in their time of crises and teach them the necessary skills the kids will need to transition into a more independent way of living. These youth need all the attention we can give them in order to prevent recidivism, especially African American and Hispanic males, who tend to continually come back into the system. If you were to grant me the privilege of studying in your program, I would like to research the recidivism rates of African American and Hispanic juveniles and young adults. I hope to contribute to our understanding of how we can improve the quality of lives of these individuals.
