I have an annoying problem that requires attention.?

Okay, I have problem that is really getting on my nerves and at this point I’m getting really sick and tired of it. I have an alchoholic dad. This problem have been with me since as long as I can remember. What should I do? I’ve tried everything. I tried talking to him (when he’s sober), I yelled at him thinking that If I expressed my anger towards him about his drinking that he might think twice about ever drinking again. That didn’t work. I also tried to ignore him but every time I do, it just makes it worse because I’m afraid that he might commit suicide when I’m working and he’s alone in the house. I also tried telling him that if he goes to an alcoholic anonymous program it might help him by not drinking ever again. But still, that didn’t work either. I’m seriously running out of ideas on what to do with him. I’m thinking of just running away or something with the rest of my family but again I’m afraid he might do something stupid if you know what I’m mean. What should I do?

If my major requires a minor, can I use a second major for the minor requirement?

I plan on majoring in psychology. For a psychology major, a minor is a requirement. Well I was gonna minor in rehabilitation services, since a main interest of mine and hopefully a main focus of my psychiatry career is dealing with substance abuse problems. Well if I decided to just double major in both psychology and rehabilitation services, could I use my second major to complete the minor requirement?

I’ve already looked all over the website and in their course catalog but it doesn’t say.
Although it does say in the philosophy section that if you minor in philosophy then you can go ahead and take a certain number of more philosophy credits and you can double major in it.
Would it be the same for psychology and rehabilitation services?

Thanks!
