What should I do?Visitation Questions?

Question by wowsers: What should I do?Visitation Questions?
I have a 5mth old baby girl. The father and I were never married. We do not have a visitation order in the court because he has not legally legitimated the child. But he is ordered to pay child support because child support recovery went after him since I was on Medicaid. He has not yet tried to push anything regarding visitation. We agreed to see each other every two weeks two times a week. I have tried to call him this week and he told me that his truck was in the shop, and then he would meet me tom. on fri. Yet he refuses to answer so know I dont know what he wants to do. I dont think he is going to show up. I also want to know if I should go to our local meetup spot anyways but I dont want to drag my baby out if he is just going to stand us up. He has canceled a few times. I have kept track when he cancels. But I am most concerned about him confusing her. He has said that he is going to take her from me because Its not fair for him to see her with me being there supervising. But I am not ever letting her out of my site without a court order. He has not even told his father that he has a baby and its not fair that she cant see all of her family, and when I met with him once he brought his mother along I could smell alcohol on her breath. I do not want to ever let my baby go with him since he has never cared for a child and he lives with his mother which I dont know if she will be drinking around my daughter. Please dont judge me. and I know this is alot going on. I just love my daughter so much and I cant imagine her being away from me. She is my life

the men we pick for sperm donors, eh?

tell him that in future, he needs to contact you in advance and set up a time and place that suits you for visitation. you will wait no longer than 15 mins, and if he has not shown up during that time, you leave with your child.

at 5 months old, there is no reason for you not to be there during the visitation, incase your child needs feeding or care.

i woudl look into legal advice in your area – legal aid or maintenance court etc.

Some grammar questions

I can’t find simple answers to these questions in the CMS or via web pages.

Here they are:

– would vs will
Let’s say you’re discussing a plans for a party or a law that may or may not actualize but you’re describing what they will entail.
Would you say “the party would” or “the law would incriminate people who blah blah blah”
instead of “the party will” or “the law will”?

I’ve noticed in some newspapers the use of “will” even about laws and ordinances that are being proposed or voted on.

–,which is.., or not?
I notice “which is” is occasionally omitted in writing.
For example, “She was referred to Teen Court, [which is] an early intervention program of the Visalia Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse.”

When is it ok to omit the “which is” ? Is there a rule here?

– When do you say “said that” or merely “said” when using attribution at the beginning of a sentence?

– Why is “had” needed in the following sentence from an Times article?

“Federal authorities said Tuesday that they “had” cracked
the largest case of identity theft in U.S. history,…”
And is the “has” needed in the following sentence from another times article:
“DSW also “has” sent notification letters to affected
customers whenever possible…”

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

relationship/custody/alcoholism questions??

few questions??….My ex is an alcoholic but is in denial. We have a 5 month old…not married or together. I am not denying him seeing her, but just taking her. Not unless he gets help. If we go to court, will they be fair, or just see it as he gets come custody mo matter what? Since she has been born he has not spent more than a few hours with her at a time. He would rather be at the bar. He is refusing to give me any more money also, and I have no income since I did not go back to my job, when he said he would help out. Any advice? Does child support go by their income?
