If I go into a store to buy alcohol, is the store required and/or allowed to check the ID of a person accompanying me?

i dont really get the US law, it’s not exactly like it’s a contractual relationship between the store, the customer and oh everyone within 5 feet of the customer.

we represent injured plaintiffs who need money before settlement with an insurance company occurs. Due to the extensive time period it takes an attorney to demand through court proof of insurance and the amount of coverage, we are looking to expedite the process in order to assist our clients who if insurance coverage was confirmed on a property or a auto etc., could have access to a portion of the antisipated recovery now vs. waiting months for the discovery process to produce the insurance ploicy.
Choicepoint has such information which is only available to the insurance industry but this information is in thier database and we have spent an exhustive search looking for any source that would produce this service at a per occurance fee and have found nothing available.
If you know of any direction we can look please send the information as destitiute people are adversely being affected by the vexatious delay insurance companies play with injured claimants.

The person who hit my car, didn’t have a Drivers license and showed me an expired insurance policy. I called the cops twice and they didn’t want to come over, claiming that was not necessary since she was willing to exchange info. INFO? with no ID, a made up phone number, and a lot of nerve to be driving reckless. My insurance does not cover uninsured motorist so is being a pain in the butt. I want to take this person to small claims and only have her address from that 2005 insurance policy she showed me. The claim adjuster said that the car is register under that name the policy said. I need some help about the steps to take and paperwork I need in order to continue in the recovery of the damaged in my car is worth. Almost G’s Besides I wanna make sure people like her get their lesson. Why do they drive without insurance and reckless.They are just go out there destroying other people property.This has to stop! NO DL, NO VALID INSURANCE COVERAGE, SHOULD NOT BE DRIVING! One more detail…I sent a letter requesting payment, to the address I got from the expired insurance policy. Found out that is still sitting at the post office, USPS said they left a notice on the 13th and still haven’t pick up. What should I do? Im to the point that I wanna take this woman down, but the right way!!!!
One more thing spoke with a coupleof attorneys and they basically said that there was nothing for them on that case since the woman most likely be ilegal and because I was uninsured againts “UNINSURED DRIVERS”

A search warrent was exucated a my house and found the ingreediants to manufacture meth.Law enforcement told him to leave town.

your q is pretty vague but they probably didnt find enough to prosecute for the crime they wanted to. they will probably be back because if you are cooking meth you are probably using and selling it too. Oh yeah by the way guess what they will probably sieze your computer too and find this question and answer and enter it into evidence…..HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

How does a parole hold work? If the person doesn’t have any charges on him for the arrest? (California)?

My brother was arrested last night, supposedly the story is that he went to help his wife at work, she is a bartender. She asked him to go and help her unload the alcohol cases. He said he went because there was no bouncer there last night. Anyways he told us they were trying to jump her and he was protecting her. I don’t know for sure but she said that some girl was starting stuff with her and I guess when they were leaving the people with this girl started messing with them and the though they were going to get jumped so I don’t know if they started fighting or what but of course something had to happen for cops to show up.
His wife said that no one was arrested accept for my brother because he was on parole and because he had alcohol in his system.
So now what happens, I went online to the inmate information to see what he was charged with and there is no charges on him only a parole hold.
Are there any chances that they will release him? Or does he automatically go back for 4 months just for the arrest?

My friend has battling drug addiction since he was 18, he’s now 38. Because of the addiction, he’s spent most of his life in prison. He’s currently on probation now and has entered a rehab for 6 mos. He’s never worked The Steps. I’m hoping he’s doing this to help himself and to keep from finishing off his sentence. I know it’s going to be a struggle, but I wonder if he can do it. He use to tell me he couldn’t sleep at night, he dreamed of doing crack, he could smell it at times. We didn’t get together because I was scared he was going to relapse and go back to the street. He ended up marrying someone else and what I was scared of happened.
Please Help. How do I contact a person in prison in Rosharon, Texas?

Please help me. I’ve known a guy for many years and have been friends with him for that many. He comes from an affluent background (wealthy) and unfortunately, never has been in real trouble except with his drinking. (public intoxication, etc. he’s never put anyone in danger because of alcohol) He’s in prison due to breaking probation and his sentence is ten years. I’ve contacted the jail in Rosharon, Texas and was told I was not on his contact list therefore, they could not help me. I was also told I could look him up on the internet and I have…to no avail. (for days) All I’ve found were webs listing administration there. No inmates names. I know *Charlie would put me on his list if he knew where I was, but I’ve moved since then. He is the sweetest guy and would give his shirt off his back if you needed him to. I don’t know what other course to take. Again, it’s his drinking that has gotten him in trouble. And I don’t think prison is the way to go if you have an addiction. It just dries a person out.
Please help, his Mother died and he is all alone. His Father doesn’t give a hoot about him and his Dad belongs to the KKK. I am stressing over this.

My son has been through countless rehabs., courts, shock camps and etc. He has people who love him and he knows he is loved. He says he values his freedom, but drinks anyway. What is the best thing his loved ones can do for him?
What do you think the sentencing will be for 2 felony drug charges, when the person charged already a felon?

My mom who had previous drug charges back in 2003. She was just charged with 2 felonies and 2 misdemeanors. The 2 felonies are illegal conveyance a felony 3 and possession of drugs felony 5. She had already previously been court ordered into 3 rehab programs, and never had to serve any real time in jail. But I would think with previous felony on her record that 2 new felonies would mean that she will need to serve jail time. Any idea what kind of sentencing she will get? We are in Ohio, Any info you have would be helpful. Thanks!
How long can a person be held in jail with no bond on a probation hold when they DON’T pose a threat to anyone

this person had been addicted to meth, she has been court ordered to do in house rehab, her probation officer put a no bond warrant out for her and she was picked up on the 7th of this month. How long can they hold her without a bond? do they have to give her a bond when she poses no threat to herself or anyone else?
The judge in the case said that she had to get into a rehab before 12/04/06, he said that at her court hearing on 10/02/06, 4 days later her P.O. put out the warran to make sure she was clean before she went into rehab, she was clean then and is clean now. she did not break probation, until AFTER the warrant was issued, that is when she quit going to classes and such, but she stayed clean. Can they continue to hold her?

How to deal w/a person who is addicted to weed?

My son is addicted to weed. He has even been through a court ordered rehab. He is now out but must pass a drug test to avoid going to jail on another charge. He has smoked weed 3 times since his release. He is always remorseful and says that he needs to stay away from his friends that are bad news. However, he’s only been out 2 weeks and this is his 3rd mistake. I don’t know how to respond to this. He lives with his dad and we both told him in order to live w/him he would have to stay away from these friends. Then, his dad let him go hang out with them and of course, he got high again. I’m tired of the struggle and I just don’t know what to do. I feel like I’m the only one who is consistent with him and then of course, I’m the bad guy. I don’t know how to handle a person with an addiciton. Do I stay, do I walk away. He’s my son and I want to see him succeed but the stress of it all is really wearing on me. Please help.
Just to be clear, I realize that most people don’t think that weed is addictive. However, Drs and therapists will tell you it is mentally addicitve and that is what my son is dealing with. He also has OCD and uses it to self-medicate instead of getting legal medications to help him.

my step-dad has been married with my mom for over 15 years
& its sad to say that he is an alcoholic
my mom has tried to help him in so many ways & he won’t quit drinking beer all the damn time
he still goes to work but he drives always being drunk
he got his second DUI in the summer
& he might be locked up his next court date is on dec
he is DIABETIC.. & he doesn’t eat
he is so skinny
he coughs up blood & bleeds blood out of his nose all the time
he has been close to strokes already he has chest pains
he WON”T go to a doctor & he gets mad for my mom trying to make him go
he drinks in the mornings before going to work in his lunch break after work & comes home late all the time
he just turned 49 years old but he’s been drinking for years..
my mom has given up hope & her mother in law doesn’t want her to leave my dad because she says he is sick but for my mom its hell to live with him already
he won’t admit he is alcoholic & won’t try to get help
do you think its so horrible for my mom to leave him because he has made her life hell & he is not happy either?
i don’t live at home anymore
& the only reason my mom stays with him is because he still pays the bills & rent but its getting to the point where not even that will make her stay
she rather rent an apt own her own with my bro [[15]] & sis[[12]]
he doesn’t even care about his kids with my mom
his other 4 kids with his first marriage have tried talking to him
his parents his brothers & sisters
nothing will work on him
he will just get pissed off & he tells my mom all the time that he’s tired of her
& then begs & cries to her that if she leaves him his life with be worse
Paris has been court ordered for re-hab. will alcohol rehab make her a better person?
