better idea is to decriminalize anything that doesn’t form such a horrible addiction that you would kill someone for a fix.

Can you choose to go to Rehab instead of back to Prison for failing drug tests?

Thats the only thing my husband has did since hes been back could he choose to go to rehab and fix his drug problem or will they just send him back for violation? He went before the board of parole for it and he passed a drug tests for them on the 11 or 12th of april and then on the 21st of april they violated him for failing and picked him with a warrant on sunday do you think there was a mistake? we have been 2gether 5 years and I am pregnant an he is my only hope if anyone knows any kind of info. about this kind of stuff please help me! Thanks

What do they really do to people when they enter mental rehab instead of going to prison? No one tells.?

How do they go about treating mental problems so that they can come back into society healed. Is anyone really healed? Will anyone tell the truth about what goes on in those places? Does anyone KNOW?
From talking to people and reading all the reasonable answers I’ve come to the conclusion it is like a cult brainwashing people (Like Jim Jones, etc.) AND the money! The legal court system really has NO WAY to “heal” people that they send into rehab. Its all a farce.

Does anyone feel that a person that commits money crimes such as check forgery to support their drug addiction be given a chance to go to a treatment center before being sentenced to prison?

I am talking strictly about users, not dealers, distributors, or manufacturers. When they get sent to prison, they sober up, but really, it’s just like a fat person being deprived of food, the first thing they look forward to when they’re released is getting high.

My husband is in jail for driving while suspended and for bad checks he wrote in order to get drugs. If he is honest with the Judge and tells the Judge he is a drug addict will the Judge let him spend the remainder of his sentence in rehab instead of jail?
