I am an addict in recovery with 19 months clean time. My ex-husband divorced me and got sole custody of my daughter three years ago while I was in jail for drug related offenses. (She will be 9 yrs old in March 2007) He has blocked every attempt at contact. Recently, the court has ordered visitation. I the first visitation was supervised by my daughter’s court appointed Guardian Ad Litem, and after a few minutes of hesitancy, it was like we had never been apart. The second time was unsupervised at my elder daughter’s house. When he dropped her off, she acted scared to be left with me until he left. Then she was affectionate, loving, and we had a great time together. She was also extremely happy to see her siblings, whom he has cut her off from also. When it was time for him to pick her up, she again acted fearful of us, and refused to take with her the gifts we had given her. Now he has filed with the court to move to Arizona. Just getting visitation has already drained me financially.

Get off Yahoo answers and get to an attorney. That person is in a position to help you. I am sure there is legal aid in your state based on the income.

The job does not require life guarding duties. My only responsibilities would include serving members bottled alcoholic drinks and getting towels.The rest of the time we get to chill underneath a big umbrella with a fan. I was warned occasionally there might be a rude person with a sense of entitlement. Will this be a pretty laid back, fun summer job or could it have hidden implications?
What changes would you bring into this country if you could run it for at least one week?

Seriously this is what I would do:
1I would make it mandatory for heavy drinking alcoholics and drug addicts to have forced sterilization and put into a island of their own since many do not want to clean up.
2I would have all pedophiphiles totally castrated and injected with female hormones, that would teach them!
3Would make it against the law for married people to have affairs and have the ones that do arrested.
4Instead of the goverment whining about the deficit, I’de have more money printed and pay it all. Now that would solve the problem.
5To keep the peace in this country, I would divide all states and cities to accomadate all racist people on one side with their own kind, and the non-racist to the other side. Anyone wanting to cross the other’s territory would have to have a legal pass and permission
6Greedy theifs would get their hands cut off.
7Lunatics and retarded people would have forced sterilization and a lombatomy for the lunatic.
8Violent criminals would have their feet, and hands cut off, and their voice box removed.
9Give gays a city of their own called City of Sodom and Gommorah.

Conscious conserv, I would consider the punishments justified.
Too much goverment intrusion…horsefeathers! I would be giving people what they want, to be left alone and live the way they choose to their lives but in their own city amongst their own kind.
I tell you though, what Amendment I’d do away with. It would be the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and the State wherein they reside.”
I would not give any citizenship to any kids born to illegal aliens.

NJ Country Jail – insurance question?

If we go to jail for 90 and then they allow us to spend the additional 90 days in a 90 days in an inpatient alcoholism treatment program, do we have to pay the cost?
My insurance for the military is about to run out and I haven’t been to my last court date yet…its been postponed and I’m really nervous I’m going to have to stay in jail for the full 180 days and watch all the growing I’ve done in the last two years go straight down the drain.
any information on Gloucester country jail or what to expect regarding my third dui would be great.
It happened about two years ago and they postponed it (put it on hold) so that I could go to Iraq and now upon my return im going straight to jail.
Talk about a punishment and a half.
First time in my life I’ve got it together and now im about to lose it all.
I know it’s my own fault and I take responsibility for it but I can’t tell you how many times a day I just don’t even want to see what day two holds for me. I single handedly destroyed the rest of my life.
