Nope. You have to have “good moral character” for most police departments or other law enforcement agencies to hire you. Abusing drugs is pretty much an automatic disqualification.

Just do an internet search for “ qualification”, for instance, “Gotham City New York police officer qualification”, and you will find out what requirements each agency has…and what will disqualify you.

Question by Mayra: What happens if I violated my DUI probation by not being able to pay for the alcohol classes the court ordered?
I recieved a dui in orange county ca. The judge ordered me to attend an alcohol program. I was going steady for a few months until I got laid off from my job and could not afford the classes. What will be the punishment violating my probation?

If they get released without being treated, it is likely that they will just commit crimes or acts of violence again.
