To purchase “non-alcoholic” beer, which can contain up to 0.5% alcohol by law, same as juice, must you be 21?

Question by sailboy: To purchase “non-alcoholic” beer, which can contain up to 0.5% alcohol by law, same as juice, must you be 21?
Juice is also allowed to have up to 0.5% alcohol, because some natural fermentation always occurs.
Are there really regs saying you must be 21 to purchase these brews, or is it just that some misinformed clerks and bartenders are spreading this myth?

What is the law for evicting someone in Indiana? Is a 30 day notice necessary if drugs were found?
Posted by admin in Drug & Alcohol Laws on February 3, 2012
Question by Nico: What is the law for evicting someone in Indiana? Is a 30 day notice necessary if drugs were found?
I have a rental home in Indiana and find myself in a situation where I need to evict the current tenants. I don’t have the lease agreement on hand today, it’s at home. So I don’t know off hand whether I made any special stipulation such as “if drugs are found on the premises you are consider in breach of the lease and will have 24 hours to vacate the premises.” What is the time frame required by law if I don’t have something like that in the lease?
Best answer:
Answer by smedrik
If it is not a violation of the lease you have no grounds to evict. This is especially if you were not supposed to be in the unit in the first place. (Landlords legally have to give 24 hours notice prior to entering)
If you do in fact have grounds to evict the process takes anywhere from 30-90 days depending upon how cooperative your tenants are.

Should there be stricter narcotics laws?
Posted by admin in Drug & Alcohol Laws on January 27, 2012
Question by : Should there be stricter narcotics laws?
I say yes, because drugs like, lsd, crack, pot, heroin, etc. ruin the american family life and take away the lives of innocent youth when they are in their prime. They also hurt the economy because dealers get their money illegally.
Would it be better if there was stricter penalties for the use, distribution, and possession of narcotics?
There are unheard deaths everyday due to narcotics.
Whether it’s auto or health more people would die if narcotics were legalized.
I think police should beat anyone who uses, distributes, and possesses an illegal substance.

No. If anything, they are too strict as it is. Billion’s of tax dollars are wasted keeping people locked up for small time charges. I’d rather you legalize it, regulate it, tax it and get rid of the crime aspect all together.

Britain is probably more ‘strict’.
However, it is the enforcement that counts at the moment not the law, and both nations have bad drug problems.

Posted by admin in Drug & Alcohol Laws on December 25, 2011
Question by Will Mandrake: How does someone with SSI find an apartment?
Hi, I have SSI (Supplemental Security Income) and cannot work. I live with my mother but her alcoholism is starting to get on my nerves to the point of wanting to hurt her. Since there’s no law against getting drunk and sponging off of your son’s disability money, I have to move away. But I don’t make enough to get an apartment. What other choices do I have besides being homeless?

Look for a roommate.*
