Question by Buffalo soldier: Is Mexico more stringent on it’s immigration laws than it is on its Drug enforcement laws?
I get the feeling that the Mexican authorities are more strict in enforcing their immigration laws than they are at enforcing their drug laws. I mean the US has sent billions already to Mexico so that it can enforce its drug laws, but the Mexican officials seem only to care about booting out illegal immigrants and taking their assets.

Yes. Half the Mexican authorities are also drug traffickers. Corruption is part of Mexican culture, why some of them wish to turn the U.S. into another Mexico I will never understand.

Immigration laws???
I’m not sure they have any. I have never needed a passport to travel to Mexico. They let anyone in. I only needed my state drivers license to get back into the states.

Mexico is brutal on illegal immigrants that sneak into their country from the south. They have a wall, extensive border patrol, and immediate deportation. We should be so lucky.
