Time Served In Rehab does that make since?

There is this guy who went to rehab and couldn’t handle it so signed him self out after a few days, later the courts ordered him to rehab for 28 days. But only after seven days the Rehab place stated that with his first visit the month before and then this visit he could get out early due to time served. I understand how people in jail can get out early due to time served. But how in the world can a rehab place trying to dry drug addicts out use the same term! Weather a person was there a month ago, they got out did drugs again and then goes back. They are starting from the beginning again to get all the drugs out of their system. Time served? Sounds like just alot of paper work being shuffled to me. My question is: Does any one have an idea what they are talking about?

Rehab doesn’t help anyone who doesn’t really want help. Better that he’s out of the program than wasting space that could help someone else. Doesn’t matter what the reason is…

Never heard of this happening for time served, guess they could add the two visits together and come up with 28 days. It is possible there were no drugs in his system when he went back, surely they must have tested him, and because of this the days added up to rehab approval. Most drugs are out of the system very quickly, the 28 days is not just for getting rid of the drugs but for counseling and talking about the problem. It takes more than 28 days to get a person to change their life. It takes them many times of this to change and often it never works, only when they decide to change and make a commitment to do so.

Sounds like they need to continue staying there. They still have not learned their lesson…
