This is not a police bashing question so if your here just to say the police are evil don’t bother commenting!
If a person gets caught with Marijuana misdemeanor charge and suffers from hardship in finding employment that requires background checks and pays the fine how are they any better off after that happening compared to an individual that smokes marijuana but doesn’t get caught?
Now that same analogy with a more illicit and more dangerous drug like cocaine
An individual who get’s caught with misdemeanor quantity of cocaine that ends up doing jail time and sentenced to court ordered rehab and community service and pays a huge fine..
Now comparing that to a individual who is also a cocaine addict but doesn’t get caught and continues there drug of abuse .
This makes good sense to me since the cocaine addict will eventually destroy there health and turn on there family by stealing and hurting the people who are close to them so it would be better off if they had been handcuffed and put in jail to get clean. So what is there governments reasoning?

You’re right but how to change the view that the evil marijuana is a gateway drug? Until we can get this out of people’s minds and show the benefits of marijuana use – both medical and recreational – we’ll remain in the dark ages. It should be legalized and taxed and controlled just like alcohol. I would estimate it would take about 15 mos. to erase the deficit and begin funding of our educational system if the taxes were earmarked for good, not evil.

Drugs MAY ruin your life, but probably will NOT.
Arrest, trial, and imprisonment will DEFINITELY have a negative impact on your life and your earnings (future and present), and leave loved ones having to cope, on their own.
In the so called “war on drugs”, the cure is far worse than the disease.

The law is the law, and breaking the law has consequences. That is the society we live in. You make it sound like there should be no consequence for breaking the law regarding marijuana. Not every person using cocaine is an addict. Not all people who use cocaine destroy their families. Not all people who use cocaine ever commit any other crime. Where do you get this nonsense and make a blanket statement as you did? Sorry, but marijuana use is a crime and until the law is repealed and removed from the books, I have no sympathy for people who break the law. The “government” did no reasoning at all, the people writing the laws did. Those same people determined the consequence for breaking the law. The police have nothing to do with that process. All the police do is enforce the laws on the books. The courts determine guilt and if found guilty, sentence is passed. What is your problem with this process? If you have a complaint, take it up with the people in the legislature who proposed and then voted the bill into law. You should at least understand the process of making law before you criticize the law. And, if you didn’t vote, then you have no right to complain about the results.

I am against Marijuana because liberals are the ones that use and want it legal.
There for if they think it’s a good idea it is not.
They are red diaper doper babies
