I was put on probation for Larceny from a motor vehicle aka Car hopping. My father had told them I smoked pot before so they had court ordered rehab. So i’ve been participating in that and passing all of my drug tests. Just recently I failed a drug test through rehab and obviously its going to be sent to my probation officer. What will my probation officer do? Are the original charges going to be put through? Do I get a freebe? Give me details if you can.

It’s up to the PO. It could be a wrist slap or he could send you off to jail. If 4 months in you fail a test it does show that you are NOT taking rehab seriously.

probation is not nearly as serious as parole however the rules do not differ that much when your po gets the drug report and being as though this will be considered your first violation you may just get a sanction which is a warning being as though you were only given 6 months on probation he has the right to add time on for a violation which he probably won’t do being as though you do have 4 out of your 6 months clean good luck.

you might get alot more testing.And more months added to your probation. just try to stay clean for a few more months. I know it sucks.

to tell you the truth you been lucky most po wont allow 4 dirty drug test so maybe now its the time to pick your freedom and let the people from your rehab help you if they see you are trying they met talk to your po good luck

You were given a chance to straighten up and failed. You will probably be doing the rest of your sentence in county or in prison.

Its a VOP Violation of probation. And if you think that you got a bum deal be4 with the Larceny. You were highly mistaken you are screwed. Im sorry to say it But with the VOP they are going to recharge you with the Larceny and add on this new change. You could be looking at jail time. I hope that smoking that weed was worth it. I would contact your attorney ASAP. and tell him what you did. I hope for your sake that you have a paid one. If not invest in one. They will fry you.. The judge hates to see you back in court and will see that the rehab did nothing for you and that your punishment should be alot harsher.
